Iron Man 3 graces the Empire Cover + New Images Surface

StumbleUponReddit

Iron-Man-3-Empire-Alternate-CoverFollowing a great reunion for the cast of The Avengers at last night’s Oscars, we woke up this morning to a brilliant new character poster for Shane Black’s Iron Man 3.

We’ve recently been treated to new character posters for Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, and Ben Kingsley. And this morning, it was Gwyneth Paltrow who was front and centre of the latest in the series, giving us a fantastic new look at Paltrow in Iron Man 3 as Pepper Potts.

To add to that, the movie is gracing the cover of the next issue of Empire magazine, and the article inside features a handful of new images, which have surfaced in low resolution online.

“Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?”

Robert Downey, Jr. is naturally reprising his role once more as Tony Stark / Iron Man. And he’s joined by another terrific ensemble, led by Paltrow, Cheadle, Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Wang Xueqi, and Kingsley, with Paul Bettany reprising his role as the voice of JARVIS.

Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) is behind the camera, directing from a script he co-wrote with Drew Pearce (the upcoming Godzilla).

Iron Man 3 will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 26th April here in the UK, followed by a 3rd May release date in the US. This is guaranteed to be one of the best films of 2013, and I can’t wait for it to land.
