Interstellar-Teaser-Poster-sliceFar and away one of the most anticipated movies of the year, Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar sees the renowned writer-director return following the epic conclusion of his The Dark Knight Trilogy two years ago.

So anticipated is the movie that Warner Bros. and Paramount were willing to partner up on distribution, and after launching an awesome teaser trailer at the tail-end of last year, the studios have now released the first teaser poster, ahead of the first full-length trailer, expected to arrive shortly.

Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway top a very promising cast, joined by Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Topher Grace, John Lithgow, David Oyelowo, David Gyasi, and Mackenzie Foy, with Matt Damon reported to play a small role as well.

Nolan is directing from a script he co-wrote with brother Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy), combining a previous script from Jonathan with an original idea of his own.

Interstellar will be released in regular and IMAX cinemas on November 7th, and is pretty much guaranteed to be one of the biggest hits of the year. For now, here’s the first teaser poster, which you can click through to enlarge.
