Shaun-the-Sheep-Movie-Promo-ArtworkWith both films on the horizon for a 2015 release, Sony Animation has released the first promo artwork for Hotel Transylvania 2 and Shaun the Sheep.

The former is of course the sequel to Genndy Tartakovsky’s 2012 original, which took over 0m. for the studio following its debut at TIFF last year.

Tartakovsky is currently hard at work on making Popeye for the studio, so he won’t be returning to the helm for the sequel, and his replacement hasn’t yet been announced. No official confirmation yet on who’ll be returning for the voice cast, but in all likelihood, especially looking at the artwork below, we can look forward to hearing Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, and more.

Shaun the Sheep marks the feature debut of the eponymous character, with Aardman Animations producing the big screen adaptation of their popular TV series. Mark Burton (Madagascar) and Richard Starzack make their feature debuts at the helm, directing from their own script.

It’s still very much early days on both projects, so this is really just dipping a toe in the water. But it’s always nice to see a little promo artwork as things develop.

Hotel Transylvania 2 is set to be released on September 25th, 2015 in the US and on 4th December in the UK.

Shaun the Sheep will be arriving a little earlier on our shores, due out on 20th March, 2015 in the UK, with its US release date still to be announced.
