It’s hard to believe Twentieth Century Fox’s indie offshoot Fox Searchlight is 15 years old this year.

Ed Burn’s debut The Brothers McMullen was the first production for this multiple award-winning company, whose input has successfully straddled the line between audience pleasers and work of a more serious nature, as The Full Monty and The Ice Storm (two features released towards the end of the nineties), exemplifies.

The studio’s productivity in the next millennium has included Sexy Beast, Sideways, 500 Days of Summer, Little Miss Sunshine and 28 Days Later (a relationship with the latter’s director Danny Boyle, which has continued through to his award-winning Slumdog Millionaire and this year’s London Film Festival closer, 127 Hours.)

To celebrate this anniversary, /Film reader Kees van Dijkhuizen put together a short video highlighting some of the studios best work, and you can watch it below.
