The first trailer for the Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was met with a mixed response, as was the recent news that Johnny Knoxville would be replacing Pete Ploszek as the voice of Leonardo, while Tony Shalhoub.would be taking over from Danny Woodburn as Shredder.
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles), the movie uses motion capture to bring Raphael (Alan Ritchson), Michelangelo (Noel Fisher), Donatello (Jeremy Howard) and Leonardo (Pete Ploszek) to life, while Megan Fox will play April O’Neil and William Fichtner will star as the villainous Shredder.

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
Starring Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, and Whoopi Goldberg, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released on August 8th, 2014.
