Bullet-to-the-Head-PosterArnie isn’t the only action legend returning to the big screen early this year. Sylvester Stallone is back in pole position following the immensely successful The Expendables 2, taking the lead in Walter Hill’s Bullet to the Head.

The first two trailers we saw last year promised plenty of action, and with its release just a few weeks away, Warner Bros. have debuted the first TV spot promising more of the same.

“Based upon a Matz and Colin Wilson graphic novel, Stallone plays Jimmy Bobo, a hitman who teams with a young NYPD detective (Sung Kang) in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of New Orleans. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge.”

Starring alongside Stallone is an impressive cast, headed up by Jason Momoa (Conan the Barbarian), Christian Slater (True Romance), Sarah Shahi (Fairly Legal), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The Bourne Identity), and the brilliant Sung Kang (Fast Five).

Hill (Last Man Standing) is at the helm, directing from a script he co-wrote with Alessandro Camon (The Messenger), based upon Alexis Nolent (a.k.a. Matz) and Colin Wilson’s original graphic novel.

Bullet to the Head will be hitting the big screen in the UK and US on 1st February, following shortly after the release of Kim Jee-woon’s The Last Stand with Arnold Schwarzenegger. An action-heavy way to kick off the early weeks at the box office this year. Enjoy.
