We got our first look at Thanks for Sharing earlier this year, but unfortunately the images seemed to have hit the Internet early, and we were asked to take them down.

With the film officially announced as making its world debut at the Toronto International Film Festival yesterday, however, we’ve now got our first official look at the great Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo in the leads.

Joining them is a fantastic cast, headed up by Tim Robbins, who completes the leading trio, alongside Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck), Josh Gad (Love and Other Drugs), Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous), Isiah Whitlock, Jr. (The Wire), and Pink (Happy Feet Two).

“Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo and Tim Robbins star in this comedy-drama about a group of people who are brought together when they join a support group to overcome their sex addictions.”

Oscar-nominated Stuart Blumberg (The Kids Are All Right) makes his directorial debut, co-writing the script with Matt Winston, with Edward Norton serving as executive producer through his Class 5 Films banner.

Paltrow and Ruffalo of course both starred in the immense blockbuster that is The Avengers earlier this year, and I can’t wait to see them actually sharing time on screen in this very different kind of film. It looks brilliant.

Thanks for Sharing will be making its world debut at Toronto in September, where it will be seeking distribution, and will no doubt be a pretty hot property. As yet, no word on a release, but we’re hoping it will be very much sooner rather than later, because it sounds fantastic. As usual with this first official image, you can click to enlarge.
