In a week which has seen the reveal of Grant Gustin in full costume as The Flash and the logo for Gotham, we speculated that something Constantine related couldn’t be too far behind. Well, a first look at Welsh actor Matt Ryan in the DC Comics/Vertigo character’s iconic trench coat, shirt and tie has now been revealed!
As you can see, to say that he looks as if he’s been torn straight out of the pages of the comic books would be an understatement. The photo comes from Slates for Sarah, and was posted yesterday by the crew in Atlanta who are currently hard at work on shooting the pilot for NBC (the network responsible for Hannibal).
Constantine focuses on John Constantine, and enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond. Neil Marshall (Game of Thrones) is directing the pilot from a script by The Mentalist’s Daniel Cerone. Man of Steel’s David S. Goyer is producing.
