Movie News, Reviews, Trailers and Interviews
It amazes me that with the release of the movie 'Julie and Julia', and all the talk/blogs about top foodie movies, I've yet to see a mention of the 1987 movie “Babettes Feast”. This is a movie that you should see after a good meal otherwise your stomach is going to cause you, and any other viewers, to be very angry with all the noise you're making. The movies mentioned above (some good, some – not so much) pale in comparison. The story behind the feast is a good one and well told. I urge you to view “Babettes gæstebud”. By the way, even if you watch this movie with a full stomach, you'll be hungry at the closing credits.
Nice catch Dianne, I haven't seen Babette's Feast for years & now I'm wondering why! What a fabulous film.
Richard, I am a flawed woman – I have not seen Tampopo despite violent encouragement from friends & loved ones. A fault I WILL remedy one day.
Is it as good/bad/brilliant as I hear?
No Tampopo? What are you thinking of?
Dinner Rush is an amazing film, you've got a great list there adlee! The five above all had an element that reminded me of the film Julie and Julia but in terms of all time favourites Dinner Rush would have to be up there.
