The BBC One Christmas animation is quickly becoming something of a festive tradition, and the works of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler are rich pickings for Magic Light Pictures who have delivered us the well known children’s stories The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child.
This December the 25th we welcome another of their tales into our home with the story of a Witch, and her cat, and her very tall hat and the various creatures she meets who seek a handy seat on her broomstick. It’s charming, more than a little silly and with the voices of Gillian Anderson, Rob Brydon, Sally Hawkins, Timothy Spall and David Walliams joining Simon Pegg as the narrator we’re in for a treat.
