Wolverine

20th Century Fox have reached out to David James Kelly to write the sequel to James Mangold’s The Wolverine. This isn’t his first time that he’s been linked to one of their Marvel properties as Kelly was at one point attached to the Daredevil reboot back when it was still at Fox and David Slade was attached to direct.

While he’s currently hard at work adapting Dark Horse graphic novel Mind Mgmt for Scott Free Productions and the original pitch Sentinel for Appian Way and Fox, Kelly should have plenty of time to work on Wolverine’s third solo outing ahead of the recently announced release date of March 3rd, 2017.

With Mangold set to return as director and Hugh Jackman being lined up to again reprise the role of the iconic Marvel mutant, the currently untitled sequel to The Wolverine is expected to start shooting when work on X-Men: Apocalypse wraps up. There’s no word on the plot of the movie or which actors will be joining Jackman.
