This story seems rather odd but I assure you that it’s real. Transformers 3 (now with the title, Transformers: The Dark of the Moon) is currently filming all over the United States using real public roads for the shoot. When Paramount / Michael Bay are filming, they obviously shut off the roads to the public. The issues however come if the Emergency Services need to get to a real life emergency as quickly as possible – taking the shortest route, and this is what happens here.
According to TMZ (where this video has come from) Michael Bay was filming a scene on a closed public road in Washington D.C. when a police officer who is apparently from the Explosives Ordinances Division responded to a real emergency. Little known to him, the scene was in full flow and if you watch the video below, you’ll see the consequences as Bumblebee (a yellow Camero) ploughs into the side of the police car.
This footage was captured by a bystander and you’ll hear the surprise on their faces as the crash happens. It couldnt have been timed better! The police officer was driven to a nearby hospital but we have no word on his injuries or those sustained to the person driving ‘Bumblebee’.
The third movie sees Shia LaBeouf back in the role as Sam with a supporting cast which includes Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who replaces Megan Fox as Sam’s love interest, Patrick Dempsey, Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Hugo Weaving.
