Written and directed by Sally Potter (Orlando), Ginger & Rosa debuted at TIFF this month to some very positive early reviews, and with its UK release just around the corner next month, the rather beautiful first UK quad poster has been released online, adorned by its leading eponymous stars, Elle Fanning and Alice Englert.
The very promising first trailer made its way online earlier in the month, and the film has also been selected as part of the line-up for the BFI London Film Festival next month, where it will be making its domestic debut.
“As the Cold War meets the sexual revolution in 1960s London, the lifelong friendship of two teenage girls (Elle Fanning, Alice Englert) is shattered by ideological differences and personal betrayals.”
Starring alongside the young leading duo will be an excellent supporting cast, headed up by Christina Hendricks, Alessandro Nivola, Annette Bening, Timothy Spall, and Oliver Platt.
Ginger & Rosa will be released here in the UK and Ireland on 19th October. It’s still seeking distribution in the States following its North American debut, and here’s to hoping that it will be picked up soon. For now, here’s the excellent first poster, which you can click to enlarge.
