Spider-Man

Kevin Feige confirms that Marvel won’t be backing down and removing their movie from Batman Vs. Superman’s release date in 2016, while we also have a variety of new clips from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier for you in this round-up of comic book movie news.

Now, while it appears as if Batman Vs. Superman will indeed be backing down from Marvel’s Untitled 2016 Movie (you can read more on that by clicking here), Kevin Feige for one has no plans to abandon their May 6th, 2016 plans. In an interview with IGN, the Marvel Studios President said:

“We’re still on that date and we’re going to be announcing soon what the movie will be on that date. That’s what we’re sort of actively working on as we get ready to firm up and get into pre-production what will be the two films for ’16 and the two films for ’17. It’s not about the best time to make an announcement for us. It’s about when the team coalesces and when we find a group of collaborators that we want to spend the next two or three years with to bring one of the movies to life.”

Fighting talk there, but it sounds as if we still have a little while to wait until we find out exactly which movie will be taking that release date. This year’s San Diego Comic-Con seems like the most likely option however. In related news, Feige also told Collider that there are no plans to change Scarlett Johansson’s role in Avengers: Age of Ultron as a result of her recently announced pregnancy.

Black Widow“Well my first reaction was I was very happy for her and very excited for her, and my second reaction was we’ve gotta move some pieces on the chess board around schedule-wise. But we didn’t change the script at all, which is sort of the most important things for us in terms of the storyline. I think the goal is for us to sit here talking about the fact that you would never know that Black Widow was pregnant during the filming of the movie when you see the final version of Avengers 2.”

In related Marvel Studios news, we also have a new clip from Captain America: The Winter Soldier which sees Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) approaching Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford) for a favour. They’ve also released some arty new posters (via Coming Soon) which you can check out in the gallery below!

Finally, in these brand new clips from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, we get to see some character moments between Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) and Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) before a far more action-packed sequence which sees Spider-Man in hot pursuit of Aleksei Sytsevich (Paul Giamatti) as he attempts to also save some dangerously radioactive cargo.
