bafta guru logoThe BAFTA Guru site is an invaluable resource for young filmmakers and we’ve watched the site grow to become a comprehensive library of information, interviews and videos drawing from the brightest new talent to industry luminaries.

Last month the site dedicated some time to the art of screenwriting and the result is below. Taking time with the likes of Peter Morgan, Richard Curtis and Susannah Grant to discuss their approaches to writing for cinema, with the three process points of the importance of preparation, wrestling with the first draft and the trial of re-writing as their maypoles.

The videos are below and well worth a watch, and if you want an example what else BAFTA are placing on the site here’s the full screenwriting lecture from Charlie Kaufman, speaking in 2011.
