Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Gets a Theatrical Re-Release & Trailer!

StumbleUponRedditPinterestShare

Here’s some rather exciting and wonderful news that I think is going to go round the web faster than a fake ‘Future Day’!

Universal Pictures have just released information that Back to the Future is going to have a theatrical re-release in UK cinemas. What does this mean? Well, it means that Back to the Future is coming back to the cinema!!! I was 5 years old when Back to the Future was released in 1985 and I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen it in the cinema.

Back to the Future was directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg. The movie starred Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover and Thomas F. Wilson  who were all made famous (or more famous in some cases) in one of the biggest and best movies of all time. So many people love it and this is why Universal have decided to bring it back to the big screen. If you’ve never seen Back to the Future before, now is your chance to see it as it was meant to be seen.

Back to the Future is to be re-released in cinemas October 1st with the Blu ray box set following October 25th and according to Empire Online, will contain two hours of new extras including a retrospective documentary with the cast and a discussion about the film’s physics and a storyboard alternate ending sequence.

I am SO excited!!!

Check out the new trailer below.

No, this cant be happening, this is heavy. I Say Back to the Future has made more fans over the years. Kids will love this movie. I'm 13 years old I live in the San Jose, California. At first I never knew what Back To the Future was I always heard it that movie but never seen it untill this year. I use to hear side comments from friends at school saying, “Back to the the Future? Thats a geek movie”. Then came the day 4th period math class , we got to see Back to the Future, we came back from lunch in 5th period Science everyone demanded to see the next part in Back to the future. We finished the movie everyone loved it, claps from everyone. A few weeks past by we had the option to decide for a movie this time. What did we decide? Back To the Future II everyone loved this movie looking forward to the devices we saw we could just imagine. Then we saw the III some kids cried but we all loved the Trilogy. Me myself Micheal J. Fox became an insperation to me, to play gutair. No side comments , hands down Back To The Future was all out favorite movies we had to pick. BTTF Come to The States! Again!

I saw the poster advertising this in my local Vue cinema at the weekend, I was so excited I couldn’t breathe! Sadly though it isn’t showing on the Vue website yet, but I’ll keep checking back until I find it. Really can’t wait – this is easily my favourite film of all time!

This sucks! It’s a crappy DIGITAL PRESENTATION. Back to the future was filmed in 35mm FILM. This is projected from a hard drive, WTF! Yes, an inferior and CHEAP way of making money for the studio. Listen to Spielberg, he hates digital presentation of his movies that are shot on film. I for one, along with many others will be boycotting this ‘special event’ until they shell out the cash for brand new 35mm prints! Stay at home and watch the Blu Ray version, it’ll be just as good, trust me.
