Much Ado About Nothing Promo PosterJoss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing instantly soared to one of my favourite films of all time when I saw it at TIFF back in September – you can read our review here.

Shot on a micro-budget in Whedon’s own home, in complete secrecy over a dozen days, the film is a terrific modern-day adaptation of Shakespeare’s original play.

The American Film Market is currently underway, and Collider were able to get a photo of the beautiful first promo photo for the film.

“Shakespeare’s classic comedy gets contemporary spin in Joss Whedon’s stylized adaptation. Shot in just twelve days using the original text, the story of sparring lovers Beatrice (Amy Acker) and Benedick (Alexis Denisof) offers a dark, sexy and occasionally absurd view of the intricate game that is love.”

Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof head up the incredible cast, alongside Fran Kranz, Sean Maher, Jillian Morgese, Ashley Johnson, Tom Lenk, Clark Gregg, and of course Fillion himself – essentially, a dream line-up for any Whedon fan – with Whedon directing from his own script.

Much Ado About Nothing has already been acquired for US distribution, and we’re really hoping that its appearance at AFM will lead to a UK distributor acquiring the rights. I can’t wait to see it again. For now, here’s the beautiful promo poster, which you can click to enlarge.
