A Good Day to Die Hard will see Bruce Willis returning for his fifth slice of action as the renowned John McClane.

The film series has gained impressive cult status since its debut back in 1988, and has since grossed over $1bn. worldwide. Rebooted back in 2007 with Live Free or Die Hard (a.k.a. Die Hard 4.0), McClane is now back for more, and this time around will be bringing his son along for the ride.

The first two trailers landed back in October, and we’ve seen a few things since then, most recently with a new poster a few weeks back. And with less than two months to go, the action-packed first TV spot has debuted online.

“Since the first Die Hard in 1988, John McClane has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy #1 for terrorists the world over. Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.”

Willis is joined by on-screen son Jai Courtney, with support from Cole Hauser, Sebastian Koch, and Yuliya Snigir, and the brilliant Mary Elizabeth Winstead reprising her role as Willis’ daughter, Lucy McClane.

John Moore (Max Payne) is at the helm, directing from a script by Skip Woods (Hitman).

A Good Day to Die Hard will be hitting theatres in the UK and US on 14th February, 2013, making for the perfect alternative with a healthy dose of action over the Valentine’s weekend. For now, here’s the first TV spot to give you a taste of what’s in store for us. Enjoy.
