4. Jessica Brown Findlay
The choice of Downton Abbey’s Jessica Brown Findlay may seem like an unexpected one on the surface, but it’s worth bearing in mind that she’s been on Marvel’s radar for a while now. She was after all said to be the frontrunner for the role of Sharon Carter in next summer’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier at one point, so it’s clear that Findlay must have impressed them despite ultimately not landing the role. With roles in Winter’s Tale and Frankenstein over the next couple of years, she’ll soon be even more recognisable than she already is (Downton Abbey is extremely popular on both sides of the pond remember), and like a couple of the other suggestions here, a role like Jessica Jones in a high profile Marvel project could really help elevate her into the big time. Young, beautiful and extremely talented, there’s no doubting the fact the she would do a great job, while the fact that she’s one of the youngest on this list would be an advantage, especially of Marvel is planning on making these shows a series of origin stories.
