22-Jump-Street-Poster-sliceTopping the box office two years back, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are back for round two this year, switching the high school scene for college this summer in 22 Jump Street.

Sony gave us an early Christmas present a few months back by launching the brilliant first red-band trailer, and with just a couple of months between us and Schmidt and Jenko’s return, the studio let Jimmy Kimmel debut the new red-band trailer on his show, sitting nicely alongside the recent new poster.

After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on an athletic team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

Hill and Tatum are joined by another great ensemble, starring alongside Dave Franco, Nick Offerman, Ice Cube, Peter Stormare, Amber Stevens, Rob Riggle, Ashlyn McEvers, Jillian Bell, and a handful of cameos to boot.

Co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are back at the helm, directing from a script by Michael Bacall (21 Jump Street), Oren Uziel (Kitchen Sink), and Rodney Rothman (Late Show with David Letterman).

22 Jump Street hits UK cinemas on 6th June, before crossing the Atlantic for a June 13th release date in the US. For now, here’s the latest trailer, and a reminder that it’s not suitable for work. Enjoy.
