20th Century Fox Acquire Low-Budget Superhero Flick

StumbleUponRedditPinterestShare

20th Century Fox are believed to be in negotiations for the rights to an original script written by Max Landis (son of John), tentatively titled Chronicle.

Chronicle will centre on three Portland teens who become exposed to a mysterious substance in the woods, and, as a result, begin to develop incredible powers. They work together to hone their skills for fun, until personal and family problems begin to turn them against one another.

Josh Trank is attached to direct, making this his first foray into feature film-making. The film will be shot using a hand-held camcorder, in the style of a documentary.

The Hollywood Reporter scooped this one.
