Skyfall is just one week away from arriving on the big screen here in the UK, and the anticipation is naturally running on high. The early reviews have been almost universally praiseworthy, and in case you missed it, you can read our review here.

Director Sam Mendes recently spoke about how Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight was a direct influence for him, and that speaks volumes about how brilliant this promises to be.

With the release now very much on the horizon, a new two-minute trailer has been released, which is largely identical to the first full-length trailers we saw over the summer, but is still very good to see whilst we eagerly awaits its arrival.

“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”

Daniel Craig reprises his role in the lead alongside an all-star cast, headed up by Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace, and Dame Judi Dench.

Sam Mendes, the Oscar-winning director of American Beauty, is making his Bond debut behind the camera, with a script penned by Bond frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and the ever-brilliant John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).

Skyfall will be released in regular and IMAX theatres next Friday, 26th October, here in the UK. In the US, its IMAX release will arrive one day early on 8th November, before going wide across the country on 9th November. For now, here’s the two-minute trailer whilst we wait for what should be one of the best films of the year. Enjoy.
