Breaking records in the US last month, topping the box office with the biggest September opening of all time, Hotel Transylvania is released in the UK today, and Adam Sandler has been playing host on ‘Monster TV’ ahead of its arrival, a You’ve Been Framed!-esque show to introduce us to his Dracula character.

Sandler, Selena Gomez, and Andy Samberg lead the impressive voice cast, with support coming from the likes of Steve Buscemi, Kevin James, David Spade, Jon Lovitz, Cee-Lo Green, Fran Descher, and Molly Shannon.

“Welcome to the Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s (Adam Sandler) lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free to be the monsters they are without humans to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula has invited some of the world’s most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more – to celebrate his daughter Mavis’s 118th birthday. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem – but his world could come crashing down when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis.”

Genndy Tartakovsky, creator/director of Samurai Jack and Dexter’s Lab, is behind the helm for this, directing from a script by David I. Stern and brothers Dan and Kevin Hageman.

We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Tartakovsky and talk about the film, and you can read that interview in full here.

Hotel Transylvania is currently on release in 3D in the US, and is released in the UK today, 12th October. Here are the first two episodes of Sandler hosting Monster TV to give you a feel for his family-friendly take on Dracula. Enjoy.
