After topping box offices this summer with The Expendables 2, Sylvester Stallone will be back on the big screen in the New Year in Bullet to the Head, the big screen adaptation of Alexis Nolent’s original graphic novel.

The first trailer for the action thriller landed last month, and now a new trailer has debuted over at MSN, promising as much action as you’d expect from Stallone, still going strong at the age of 66.

“Based upon a Matz and Colin Wilson graphic novel, Stallone plays Jimmy Bobo, a hitman who teams with a young NYPD detective (Sung Kang) in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of New Orleans. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge.”

Starring alongside him will be Jason Momoa (Conan the Barbarian), Christian Slater (True Romance), Sarah Shahi (Fairly Legal), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The Bourne Identity), and the brilliant Sung Kang (Fast Five).

Walter Hill (Last Man Standing) is behind the camera, directing from a script he co-wrote with Alessandro Camon, who penned the Oscar-nominated script for The Messenger with Oren Moverman.

Bullet to the Head will be hitting the big screen on 1st February, 2013, coming just a few weeks after Arnie’s The Last Stand, making for an action-heavy box office to start the New Year. For now, here’s the latest trailer. Enjoy.
