30 Rock’s brilliant Katrina Bowden has been using her off-seasons in recent years brilliantly, starring in instant-cult-classic horror-comedy Tucker and Dale vs. Evil back in 2010 alongside Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine.
She was seen earlier this year in Piranha 3DD, and has two more horror films on the horizon – Nurse 3-D and #HoldYourBreath. The first trailer for the second has now debuted over at Apple, giving us a good look at Bowden in the lead as part of the horror ensemble.
“Based on the urban myth that you can breathe in evil spirits when passing cemeteries, #HOLDYOURBREATH follows seven friends embarking on a weekend camping trip who pass a run-down cemetery and find themselves arguing about the legitimacy of the urban myth. When one friend refuses to hold his breath while passing by, he finds himself the unwitting host to a notorious serial killer who jumps from body to body in order to pick off each of the friends one by one.”
Jared Cohn (Bikini Spring Break, Underground Lizard People) is behind the camera, with a script by Geoff Meed (6 Guns), with Randy Wayne, Lisa Younger, Seth Cassell, and Erin Marie Hogan completing the cast.
#HoldYourBreath will be released in the US on 5th October, and should make for a nice pre-Halloween horror in just over a month. No word yet on if/when it will find its way to UK shores, but with a bit of luck, we’ll see it get a release around the same time. For now, enjoy this first trailer.
