Back in May, we got our first look at Arnold Schwarzengger and Sylvester Stallone on the set of their upcoming action/sci-fi thriller, The Tomb, with a peek behind the scenes of production interviewing the two action veterans.

Included with that were a few screengrabs of the grey-haired leading duo, and now the first official image of them has surfaced over at The Wall Street Journal.

The two will of course be returning to the big screen this coming weekend, with the release of The Expendables 2, but it will be in The Tomb that they’ll first be getting together opposite each other in leading roles for what is expected to be a huge action success.

“Ray Breslin is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. After analyzing every high security prison and learning a vast array of survival skills so he can design escape-proof prisons, his skills are put to the test. He’s framed and incarcerated in a master prison he designed himself. He needs to escape and find the person who put him behind bars.”

Mikael Håfström (1408, Derailed) is behind the camera, with some strong support headed up by Jim Caviezel, Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Neill, Faran Tahir, 50 Cent, and Amy Ryan, and the ever-brilliant Vinnie Jones.

No word yet on when The Tomb will be reaching the big screen, but distribution rights have already been secured in the UK, US, and pretty much every international territory, so it shouldn’t have any problem getting to a big screen near you next year. For now, enjoy this first official look at Stallone and Schwarzenegger, and as usual, you can click to enlarge.
