Currently in post-productions, Stalled is the latest entry into the UK horror comedy genre that British filmmakers often seem to have a handle on better than most. (Naturally, I point you towards Shaun of the Dead as a good starting point if you’re new to the genre.)

We’ve had the first poster for the film sent over, giving us a tease of its intriguing premise:

“It’s Christmas Eve and a soon to be shit-canned maintenance gopher (Dan Palmer) is changing light bulbs and cleaning toilets instead of drinking egg-nog and making out with drunk receptionists at the annual office party. Unfortunately for this forlorn floor-sweeper he chooses to use the LADIES’ RESTROOM the very second a ZOMBIE OUTBREAK occurs! Will he bowl us over and flush away the undead or (like in his pre-apocalypse life) simply remain …’STALLED’?

This British horror/comedy is Directed by Christian James, Produced by Richard James Kerrigan and Written by Dan Palmer. It stars Palmer (‘Freak Out’), Tamaryn Payne (‘Hollyoaks’), Mark Holden (‘Final Destination’) and Antonia Bernath (‘Elvis’, ‘St.Trinians’)”

Shot in just eighteen days, the film sees the return of Christian James (Freak Out) behind the camera, directing from a script by frequent collaborator Dan Palmer (Freak Out), with Palmer himself starring alongside Tamaryn Payne (Hollyoaks), Antonia Bernath (Slaughter, Holby City), Mark Holden (Final Destination), and Giles Anderson (The Harsh Light of Day).

Stalled is currently in post-production and will hopefully be making its way to the big screen late this year or early next. And if you’d like to keep up to date on all things Stalled, you can head over to see it on Facebook and Twitter. As usual with this first poster, you can click to enlarge.
