We saw a fantastic new French poster from John Hillcoat’s anticipated Lawless this morning, and continuing on from that, we’ve now got six new images focusing on some of the film’s main players: Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, Guy Pearce, Dane DeHaan, and Jessica Chastain.
Supporting them will be the brilliant likes of Gary Oldman, Mia Wasikowska, and Jason Clarke, making up one of the finest casts of the year.
“LAWLESS is the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers: bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American Dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. In this epic gangster tale, inspired by true-life tales of author Matt Bondurant’s family in his novel “The Wettest County in the World”, the loyalty of three brothers is put to the test against the backdrop of the nation’s most notorious crime wave.”
Hillcoat is directing from a script by Nick Cave, who adapted the original novel by Matt Bondurant, The Wettest County in the World, which was previously to be the film’s title.
Lawless will be released by The Weinstein Company in the US on 29th August, before coming to our shores on 7th September.
