With three weeks and three days to go until the epic conclusion of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy makes its way to the big screen, things couldn’t be looking better for the blockbuster of the summer.
Last week saw the release of the latest trailer for the film, and now a new Bane-centred banner has made its way online, with Gotham burning in the backdrop – not too bad at all.
Christian Bale returns as the Dark Knight for one last outing, with Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman reprising their roles alongside an immense new roster headed up by Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Juno Temple, and Marion Cotillard.
Nolan is directing from a script co-written by himself and brother Jonathan Nolan, with the story from the director and past collaborator David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight).
The Dark Knight Rises will be released in regular and IMAX theatres on 20th July – be sure to commit that date to memory now if it wasn’t already, because this is essentially the cinematic event of the year.
