Starring Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman, and Jack Frost, DreamWorks’ upcoming animated adventure-comedy film is promising to be one of their best films yet – and from a studio whose catalogue includes Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon.

With the voices of Hugh Jackman, Chris Pine, Jude Law, Isla Fisher, Alec Baldwin, and Dakota Goyo, the films sees director Peter Ramsey make his feature debut, transitioning from his position as head of story on Monsters vs. Aliens.

Adding to the anticipation after the brilliant first trailer was released in March, six excellent new character posters have surfaced over at Apple.

“RISE OF THE GUARDIANS is an epic and magical adventure that tells the story of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman, and Jack Frost – legendary characters with previously unknown extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children everywhere.”

David Lindsay-Abaire (Robots, Rabbit Hole) has penned the script, adapting William Joyce’s book, The Guardians of Children, which was originally to be the film’s name.

Rise of the Guardians will be released in 3D in the US on 21st November this year, before coming to the UK a little later on 30th November. I can’t wait. As usual with these great new posters, you can click to enlarge. Enjoy.
