The U.K. premiere will take place on Wednesday, June 20 at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre. Friedkin and numerous cast members are expected to be in attendance.

Killer Joe stars Matthew McConaughey, Emile Hirsch, Juno Temple, Thomas Haden Church and Gina Gershon. It will be distributed in the U.K. by Entertainment One, with a full U.K. release scheduled for June 29.

The 66th Edinburgh International Film Festival runs from June 20 – July 1, 2012. As previously announced, Brave will bring the festival to a magical close on June 30.
