After getting a new UK trailer earlier this month for The Cold Light of Day, starring Henry Cavill, Bruce Willis, and Sigourney Weaver, we now have eight new images and a new clip to share with you ahead of its release in our cinemas next weekend.

Cavill’s last film was the fantasy epic Immortals, which took more than $200m. at the international box office, and this will see him return with action acting talents but in more of a thriller setting.

“Armed with a gun, but no information, Will (Henry Cavill) is alone in an unfamiliar city and is forced to piece together the puzzle of his missing family.

Unwittingly embroiled in a Government conspiracy he has agents from all sides hot on his tail. An unrelenting chase across the streets of Madrid intensifies and Will is forced to question everything he has known in order to stay alive long enough to rescue his family… but is there anyone left he can trust?

Starring super British talent Henry Cavill (Immortals) alongside Hollywood action legends Bruce Willis (Die Hard) and Sigourney Weaver (Avatar) The Cold Light of Day is an adrenaline fuelled action thriller from director Mabrouk El Mechri.”

For some reason, it looks like the film has been pushed back in the US, so if you’re reading this in the States, you’ve got to wait until 7th September for this to hit. Maybe they’re planning a more substantial marketing campaign, with a Bruce Willis ‘resurgence’ (though he’s never really been away) coming this summer from G.I. Joe: Retaliation and The Expendables 2.

Here in the UK, The Cold Light of Day will be coming to cinemas on 6th April, which puts it head-to-head with Titanic’s re-release, Mirror Mirror (though that comes out on 2nd April), Sean Penn-starrer This Must Be The Place, and Jo Nesbø’s Headhunters, the main competition in the action-thriller genre. As usual with the new images below the clip, you can click to enlarge.
