After getting a brilliant new featurette for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers just yesterday, along with two great new sets of images yesterday and the day before, we now have a few more awesome images to bring you from the film today.

The first two are hi-res looks at Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, entering the franchise back in 2010 in Iron Man 2. And the third comes in the form of a new German international poster, in the same vein as the earlier banners we saw last year.

Whedon is directing this latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe from his own script, and we can of course look forward to seeing our favourite superheroes and characters alongside Johansson as Black Widow, including Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr., with Paul Bettany returning as JARVIS), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo, taking over from Edward Norton), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and Loki (Tom Hiddleston).

And as you’re no doubt already well aware, the film will be released in the UK under the official name of ‘Avengers Assemble’ rather than ‘The Avengers’.

The Avengers will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 26th April here in the UK, and will then head across the Atlantic for a 4th May release in the US (a.k.a. Star Wars Day). For all the rest of our coverage of the film, just click right here. And as usual with the poster below, you can click to enlarge.

Since graduating, I spend as much time as possible watching films/TV shows, reading books, and listening to music. So getting to write about what I love is nothing short of awesome. Biggest film-related hope for 2014/ever: Guy Ritchie announcing the RocknRolla sequel is finally moving forward.
