There are only half a dozen weeks to go until the new season of HBO’s Game of Thrones begins, and we’ve been seeing a handful of things from the show recently to promote its return to TV. Based on George R. R. Martin’s bestselling series of novels, HBO have created a programme that has everyone talking, and has been earning a slew of awards and nominations with its first season.
After getting a host of images and a new featurette for the show this month, we now have four new characters to bring you, courtesy of the programme’s Facebook page, via Collider, each looking pretty damn awesome.
Whilst I’m still yet to start watching the first season, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, and there’s naturally a huge amount of buzz surrounding the return with the second season.
The cast is of course pretty fantastic, starring the likes of Sean Bean, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, and one-to-watch child actress Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, who you can see in the final poster below.
If you’re a fan already and have the first season under your belt, the date you’ll be wanting to mark in your calendars is 9p.m. on 1st April if you’re in the US, and I think 9p.m. on 2nd of April here in the UK, on Sky Atlantic. And if, like me, you haven’t yet seen season 1, then you have about six weeks to play catch-up – which isn’t at all as hard as it may sound, since it’s a ten-episode season.
