Everything we’ve seen of Kristen Stewart’s next role in the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman has been awesome so far, and things are looking pretty good for the film to go big at the box office this summer.

We got the first trailer back in November, and if you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend changing that now, because it was just a little bit immense. With a cast led by Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, and Sam Claflin, we should be in for a real treat in a few months’ time.

“In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.”

To go with all we’ve seen so far, we now have a few new images from the film as well as some photos from the set to share with you, courtesy of Teen Vogue via Collider, including an image of Stewart and the fabled poisoned apple.

The film marks the directorial debut of Rupert Sanders, and it looks like a fantastic first feature from him. The script has been co-written by Evan Daugherty, who also makes his debut on this, and Hossein Amini, whose credits include last year’s Drive, which of course topped more than a few people’s favourite films of 2011.

Along with Stewart, Theron, and Claflin, the film also stars Chris Hemsworth in one of the leading roles as The Huntsman, and a fantastic supporting cast that includes Nick Frost, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Lily Cole, and Bob Hoskins.

Snow White and the Huntsman will be coming to the UK and the US on 1st June, so just a few more months to wait before we get to see it on the big screen. It looks pretty damn epic, so I’d say it’s something to get excited about. For now, here are the great new images to enjoy, which you can click to enlarge.
