Which Titles are Available for UltraViolet?

This is where the problem is at the moment. The system is live but at the moment, there are virtually no products out there for you to buy. If you’re desperate to try it, the one we know of is Final Destination 5 which you can order here but fear not as with four of the five main studios behind it,you’ll see more and more coming out from this day forth.

UV enabled movie titles we know are include Moneyball, J. Edgar, Happy Feet 2, Tower Heist and Hop and TV titles, including The Town, The Smurfs and One Tree Hill Season 9, Chuck Season 5 and The Big Bang Theory, Seasons 1 and 2.

In Summary

UltraViolet is very much in its infancy, in fact I’d say more accurately it’s just been born! With all these big names behind the project, I don’t see how it can fail. I just wonder if Disney will join the bang-wagon or if they’ ll want to be lone wolf on this one. I guess their system could be even better but for now, we’ll have to wait and see.

The good news is that online movie watching at home and on the move is here and it’s here to stay. Things we saw in sci-fi movies 20 or 3o years ago are now becoming reality and I’m loving every minute of it! We can now watch movies whenever and wherever we like, just look at my story on LoveFilm vs. Netflix from a couple of days ago which reenforce that notion.

The big question however is, how have we never heard of this before? More obviously need to be done on the marketing and hopefully this post will help you a little.

I should be getting an UltraViolet enabled disc through the post imminently so I’ll keep you updated with how I get on. Feel free to put your comments in the section below. Have you heard of UltraViolet before and will you be using it? If you haven’t heard of it, please let us know!

Lower case ‘I’ under The Perks of Ultraviolet:

“After signing up to UltraViolet, I was astonished to see that I am able to add 5 extra people to my account. This means they are able to stream the movies that *i* have in my account to their”

Fantastic and informative article though! Explains away a lot of questions  had ;)

I had a bash at using this. After having to create two different accounts (one on flixster the other on ultraviolet), installing an archaic-looking piece of software on my computer, and about five failed attempts at actually downloading a digital edition of the movie I’d bought on DVD I just gave up, deleted both accounts and uninstalled the software. A massively flawed concept.
