Lock-Out is the first of the two films co-written and produced by Luc Besson that we can look forward to next year – the other being the sequel to the immense Taken – which will mark the feature directorial debut of its other two co-writers, James Mather and Stephen St. Leger.

The film is led by Guy Pearce, who’s set to have a brilliant year next year starring in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus and John Hillcoat’s Wettest County opposite Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf, and will also star Peter Stormare, along with reuniting Besson with his Taken star, Maggie Grace.

“A man wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the U.S. is offered his freedom if he can rescue the president’s daughter from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates.”

We’ve now got a great new trailer to share with you, courtesy of the French film site, AlloCiné. As such, the trailer has French subtitles, and is called MS One – Maximum Security, which is presumably the film’s title in France.

If you’re a fan of Besson’s sci-fi work, this looks to be another brilliant film from him, and should be a fantastic debut for Mather and St. Leger. This new trailer makes it look absolutely awesome, especially for a film with a budget of $30m., and I can’t wait for it to hit cinemas here on 13th April next year. I have a feeling it’s going to be so damn good, and here’s the trailer to prove it. (You may have to wait for an ad to finish first, but it’s completely worth the wait.)
