Will Gluck (Easy A) is in talks to direct Sex on the Moon, an adaptation of Sex on the Moon: The Amazing Story Behind the Most Audacious Heist in History.

Sex on the Moon is written by Ben Mezrich, author of The Accidental Billionaires, which was adapted by Aaron Sorkin into the Academy Award winning The Social Network.

The book follows Thad Ryan Roberts, a geologist and high-achieving NASA intern in Texas who, in an effort to impress a girl, orchestrates a plan to steal lunar rocks from the Johnson Space Center and sell them on the Internet.

Like The Social Network, Sex on the Moon will be produced by Scott Rudin, Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and Kevin Spacey.

Gluck’s latest directorial effort, the sex comedy Friends with Benefits, will be released in the UK on September 2.
