Perhaps more than any other of its films, Pixar’s Cars is the easiest to convert into a video game, and this new trailer for Cars 2: The Video Game pretty much proves the point.

If you’ve yet to catch up with the latest trailer for the film Cars 2 click here to check it out, and very nice it looks too, though Cars is perhaps not the most obvious Pixar film to warrant a sequel John Lasseter has surely built up enough goodwill to trust that’s it’s good hands.

Cars 2: The Video Game will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS in July 2011 and looks like being Pixar does Spy Hunter. Marvellous.

Releasing Summer 2011, Cars 2: The Video Game lets you jump into the Cars 2 universe with some of your favourite Cars personalities such as Mater, Lightning McQueen and the newly introduced Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell in exotic locations around the globe. Fans can train to become world-class spies at the international spy academy, CHROME (Command Headquarters for Recon Operations and Motorized Espionage), and take on dangerous missions, compete to become the fastest race car in the world, or use their spy skills in exciting, action-packed combat racing and battle arenas. Race against friends and family in either single or multiplayer modes with up to four players to unlock challenging new tracks, characters, events and thrilling spy missions.
