The Dude Engages in Some Retail Therapy

Imagine being the proprietor of an unlicensed ‘Big Lebowski’ themed bric-a-brac store, only for The Dude himself, Jeff Bridges, to show up and have a wander around your premises.

This is what happens below, when Bridges (filming a documentary entitled Jeff Bridges: The Dude Abides) rocks up unannounced to Little Lebowski in New York.

Some of the merchandise looks genuinely inventive and well-made and I’m sure any initial worries the owner has soon fall away when Bridges congratulations him in an appropriately slacker, Dude-like way with “Cool shop, man”. Not so sure the studio who owns the right to the property well have the same affable response after they watch this clip though!
