Well, the trailer we’ve all been waiting for is finally here and it’s a belter! This evening, the first teaser trailer for Michael Bay’s third movie in the Transformers franchise, Transformers: The Dark of the Moon was released and it answers a few questions but now gives us many more!
This third installment stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, John Malkovich, Patrick Dempsey, Ken Jeong, John Turturro, Frances McDormand, Peter Cullen and Tyrese Gibson. This new trailer gives us a few clues as to storyline but also throws up a lod more questions.
By using screen captures from the trailer, we’ll have a look at what they might be.
So, we begin in July 20th, 1969, the day Man went to the Moon in Apollo 11 which was manned by Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins and Edwin ‘Buzz’ E. Aldrin, Jr.
Cue shot of the space module with a rather nice shot of Earth in the background – a must for all shots of a craft in space!
Same shot as above except with moon in the background – the second ‘must’ for all space craft movie shots.
Oh, and a lens flare!
Just to prove that the we are going to the moon, we see the LM or Lunar Module attached to the Saturn V.
Yes indeed! Can’t argue with that!

Lots of space talk in this sequence where we hear the rather exciting words “Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.” delivered by Armstrong.
As above with loads of excitment as man touches down on the Moon for the very first time.
‘A nation’ and possibly the world’s proudest moment?
Down the steps goes Neil “It’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
Ahh, what’s this, there’s been a secret hidden by the goverment for over 40 years?! Never……!
“Ready to go?”
Cut TV broadcast to the world……
“We now have had confirmation of loss of signal from Apollo 11”
“Apollo 11 is on the far side of the moon”
“Neil, you are dark on the rock”
Neil: “Mission is a go”
“We have 21 minutes” And what the heck is that in his visor?!
It’s an alien ship! No way!!
“The hull’s been breached, extensive damage. No signs of life aboad”
Is it Optimus Prime? Some think it is…..
“You can not believe what we’re seeing”
Some guys called Michael Bay is director…..
Houston: “We’re not alone afterall are we”
Neil: “No sir!”
And some guy called Steven Spielberg is Executive Producing
Zoom back inside Alien ship to pan into crevass inside to reveal…..

With a moustache!!!

Speculation here is that since his eye is blue, he’s an Autobot.
