Banks will star opposite Chris Pine in Alex Kurtzman’s (Star Trek) directorial debut.
Welcome To People centers on a twenty-something man (Pine) who, after the death of his father, must deliver $150,000 in cash to an alcoholic sister (Banks) he never knew he had.
Welcome To People will be produced by Steven Spielberg and starts filming early next year.
Banks will next be seen in Paul Haggis’ The Next Three Days, released in the UK on January 7, 2011.
