Following his hit from earlier this year (Valentine’s Day), Pretty Woman director Garry Marshall is planning on picking out another date from the calendar with New Year’s Eve, and a number of big names are already in negotiations to star.

Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer (who appeared in the director’s 1991 feature Frankie and Johnny), Ashton Kutcher and Hilary Swank are all currently in talks to appear in this romantic ensemble drama about the romantic lives of a group of New Yorkers on celebrating the end of the year.

Valentine’s Day made over 0 million at the US box office alone, and if this new project can make the same (or better), expect to see all the other variations on this theme for years to come – love stories set around Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and St Patrick’s Day, etc.
