Hallowe’en is almost upon us, and this is something which may prove the perfect antidote to the goresplattered subtlety of the Saw franchise.
This trailer for William McGregor’s short Who’s Afraid of the Water Sprite is a nice tease for what looks to be an enchanting dark fairy tale in the vein of Guillermo Del Toro, and you’ll be able to judge for yourself as the short will be getting a release on iTunes on the 19th of October.
McGregor is currently working on a feature length version of this short with Hilary Bevan Jones, due to shoot in Wales next year, titled The Rising. You can find out about McGregor’s work and keep tabs on his latest projects here.
