We reported yesterday that Emma Stone has been offered the role as May Jane in the new Spider-Man movie which is directed by Marc Webb’s.
Deadline have also dropped a potential casting bombshell by suggesting there has been early unconfirmed talks that Philip Seymour Hoffman is being discussed for the role of lead villain Venom. If they are considering someone of Hoffman’s stature (he can do villainy as Mission: Impossible 3 proved) that may also help banish the memory of the weak and thoroughly underdeveloped plotline of the character in the previous websliger’s adventure.
