Katie Holmes (The Romantics, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark) and Al Pacino (Righteous Kill, Ocean’s Thirteen) are in negotiations to join Jack & Jill, an upcoming comedy project from director Dennis Dugan, starring Adam Sandler (Grown Ups).

In true Eddie Murphy style, Sandler will play both Jack and Jill. If a deal is reached, Holmes would play Sandlers wife, while Pacino would star as himself.

Synopsis: Jack & Jill centers on a lady named Jill (Sandler), who turns up at her twin brother Jack’s (Sandler) Thanksgiving dinner and then won’t leave.

The script has been penned by Steve Koren, Robert Smigel and Ben Zook. Columbia Pictures will finance and deal with distribution.

Jack & Jill will be released sometime in 2011.

THR reported this one first.
