It is being reported by Entertainment Biz! (yeah, we’d never heard of them either) that Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter himself,  is alledgedly “keen to get involved” in “Jay And Seth Vs. The Apocalypse”, the long touted collaboration between Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel. The young actor apparently being asked to audition for the movie despite production on the movie not due to start until late 2011 at the earliest.

The Playlist, who spoke to writer Evan Goldberg at Comic-con, asked about the upcoming film. Without giving too much away, Goldberg stated “We’re right in it.” Quizzed about possible casting, the writer continued

“I’m not telling you my secret. But needless to say I could not be more excited about our secret people who will be in the film. We’re going full speed on that, and I couldn’t be more excited to make that movie.”

Radcliff, who has finished filming on the last Potter film, seems a wonderfully random choice for the film. While committed to The Woman In Black and Broadway musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, he would certainly be free at a similar time to Rogen and Baruchel, who are linked to Rock of Ages and Goon respectively. As for Goldberg’s other “secret people”, only time, and maybe Entertainment Biz!, will tell.
