Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie Gets Release Date and Concept Art Peek

Disney gave us two dates to mark in our diaries today as they unveiled the release dates to two highly anticipated projects.

The Andrew Stanton directed John Carter of Mars will roll into cinemas on the 8th of June 2012 and Tim Burton’s feature length update of his 1984 short Frankenweenie has a date of the 9th of March 2012.

Frankly these can’t come round fast enough and as if to whip our appetite into a frenzy a couple of pieces of concept art have surfaced from Burton’s stop motion love letter to a child’s bond with his canine pal and subsequent resurrection. Here’s one of those pieces,
