Here’s our first look at Colm McCarthy’s Outcast, a horror film which blends domestic terror and Celtic mythology and hopes to cast a dark spell when it shows at FrightFest at the end of August here in the UK.

A trailer has been released to whip up a fury and it’s a creepy minute and a half, with James Nesbitt looking all kinds of crazy along running through the bleak, claustrophobic landscapes.

With the more familiar horror tropes thrown in along with a smattering of dark rituals a faintly Summerisle Chainsaw Massacre feel comes out, and for Who fans there’s a chance to see companion of the moment Karen Gillan on the big screen.
