OK, I must caveat this with the words “I read this in The Sun” but according to the UK newspaper, The Spice Girls are set to return to the big screen in a new movie which is apparently going has the working title, Viva Forever.
The Sun: The film will follow the same format as Mamma Mia! – using their songs as a soundtrack rather than being an actual biopic.
Emma Bunton apparently spilled the beans but they don’t actually have a quote from her so who knows when or where she said it.
The girl group recently signed a deal for their songs to be used in a stage show, also to be called Viva Forever, which will be directed by Judy Cramer and The Sun say the same team will produce the movie.
The Spice Girls shot to fame in the 90s as a girl group whose values centered around ‘Girl Power’! They made a movie called Spice World back in 1997 which didn’t do so well with the critics but was a massive hit with the Spice Girl fans, of which there are many.
If the article speaks the truth we can expect Viva Forever sometime in 2011.
